Just ahead of kickoff, the match ball was delivered to the centre circle and into the hands of Havertz by a remote-controlled miniature car. As the Arsenal forward picked the ball up, the car rolled away accidentally, running over his foot. Havertz seemed shocked for a second and Kroos couldn't help but laugh at the incident that unfolded in front of him.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Just seconds after the incident, the game began and Germany managed to put the ball into France's goal after a delightful kick-off routine, with Florian Wirtz smashing one home after just seven seconds. They scored once more and didn't really let France into the game as Julian Nagelsmann managed the game perfectly after the early lead.
